Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Shotcrete Operator to join our operations at the Federation Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mine development activities.

About the Role

As a Shotcrete Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting safe and productive underground mining operations through the application of primary ground support. Working in a dynamic underground environment, you will operate shotcrete equipment and associated heavy machinery while contributing to mine services activities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and maintaining operational excellence across all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate shotcrete spraying equipment safely and efficiently to install primary ground support.
  
• Conduct pre-start inspections and complete all required safety documentation, including Take 5s and JSAs.
  
• Operate and maintain associated equipment including shotcrete machines, agitator trucks, and batch plant infrastructure.
  
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  
• Participate in toolbox meetings, pre-starts, and safety initiatives.
  
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any defects, damage, or maintenance requirements.
  
• Complete daily activity reports and promptly report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
  
• Assist with general underground mine service activities as required by supervisors.
  

About You

• Previous underground shotcrete experience operating Jacon, Normet Spraymec, or similar equipment.
  
• Experience operating agitator trucks, batch plants, and related underground mining machinery.
  
• Current G1/G2/G8 or equivalent underground mining inductions (highly regarded).
  
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  
• Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
  
• Strong focus on safety and compliance within underground mining environments.
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of an underground mining role, including 12-hour shifts in remote locations.
  
• Motivated, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement and high-quality work standards.
